Chris Callis & Zac Alexander claimed their first title together while Kayley Leonard & Maria Elena continued their winning streak with their third consecutive win this season at the MFS Boston Pro-Am, March 23-26.

Top seeds Leonard & Ubina opened their tournament with a 3-0 win against Ineta Mackevica & Dana Betts, while Victoria Simmonds & Fernanda Rocha Maturi secured a 3-1 upset over three-seeds Lauren West & Georgina Stoker. In the semifinal, Leonard & Ubina continued their strong performance, defeating Simmonds & Rocha Maturi, 15-7, 15-9, 15-11, to confirm their place in the final.

In the bottom half of the draw, four-seeds Celia Pashley & Line Hansen overpowered Charlotte Knaggs & Laura Watson, and two-seeds Elani Landman & Lume Landman emerged victorious over Nessrine Ariffin & Alli Rubin in the quarterfinals. The semifinals saw Landman & Landman in top form, overcoming Pashley & Hansen 15-10, 15-12, 15-12.

The women’s final was a familiar battle between Leonard & Ubina and Landman & Landman, marking their fourth final together this season. A strong start from both teams saw Leonard & Ubina clinch an early lead, edging the first game 15-14. Landman & Landman returned for the second game with a vengeance, evening out the score, 15-6, but Leonard & Ubina came back with renewed energy to claim the next two games, 15-13, 15-11, emerging as champions.

In the men’s division, the round of 16 went almost exactly as seeded, with seven of the top eight seeds proceeding to the quarterfinals. An impressive performance from qualifiers Lucas Rousselet & John White saw them overcome 5/8-seeds Hameed Ahmed & Chris Sachvie, 3-2, to take the eighth quarterfinal spot.

Moving into the quarterfinals, top seeds James Stout & Scott Arnold continued with a 3-1 victory over Matt Henderson & Sam Khalifa, while three-seeds Ryan Cuskelly & Cameron Pilley defeated Rousselet & White, 3-0. In the semifinal, Stout & Arnold faced a formidable challenge from Cuskelly & Pilley but managed to emerge victorious, securing their place in the final 15-9, 14-15, 15-11, 15-13

In the bottom half of the draw, two-seeds Zac Alexander & Chris Callis secured their place in the semifinals with a victory over Mike Ferreira & Will Hartigan 15-10, 7-15, 15-13, 15-13. Adam Bews & Colin West overcame Clinton Leeuw & Jaymie Haycocks in an intense and exciting battle, clinching a crucial point at simultaneous match ball to take the match 15-13, 15-9, 10-15, 12-15, 15-14. In the second semifinal, Alexander & Callis showcased their skills and determination to defeat Bews & West 15-12, 15-11, 14-15, 15-11.

The men’s final featured an exciting clash between Alexander & Callis and Stout & Arnold, with excellent play from both teams making for a very even match. Alexander & Callis took the first game 15-10 to claim an early lead, but were met with strong resistance by Stout & Arnold, who took the next two games 15-10, 15-10. A battle for the fourth game saw Alexander & Callis come out on top, 15-13, evening the score at 2-2 after an hour and a half of play. Entering the fifth, Alexander & Callis returned with determination, powering through 15-5 to claim the title.
