About the SDA Pro Tour
Our Story
The Squash Doubles Association (SDA) Pro Tour is the international governing body for professional hardball squash doubles. Established in 2012 as the successor to the International Squash Doubles Association, the SDA is responsible for the administration, growth, and promotion of the professional game across North America.
Working in partnership with clubs, tournament organizers, players, sponsors, and officials, the SDA sanctions and oversees a season-long calendar of professional events for both men and women. Our role extends beyond organizing competition to maintaining world rankings, establishing playing regulations, supporting tournament operations, developing new events, and promoting the sport to players and fans alike.
The SDA is committed to growing professional squash doubles by creating opportunities for athletes at every stage of their careers. From Challenger events that introduce emerging professionals to the tour's most prestigious championships featuring the world's best players, we strive to provide a professional, competitive, and sustainable pathway for the game.
More than a decade after its formation, the SDA Pro Tour has grown into the world's leading professional hardball squash doubles organization. Today, the tour features more than 30 professional events each season, over 190 players from around the world, and more than $800,000 in annual prize money. Supported by outstanding clubs, dedicated tournament organizers, valued commercial partners, and a passionate community, the SDA continues to build a stronger future for professional squash doubles.
Our Mission
Our mission is to govern, promote, and grow professional hardball squash doubles by delivering world-class competition, supporting players and tournament organizers, protecting the integrity of the sport, and inspiring the next generation of athletes. We are committed to preserving the traditions of hardball doubles while embracing innovation that strengthens the game for players, clubs, partners, and fans.
What We Do
The SDA oversees every aspect of the professional tour, from sanctioning tournaments and maintaining the official men's and women's world rankings to establishing tour regulations, supporting tournament directors, managing player memberships, and promoting the sport through live streaming, media coverage, and digital content. We work closely with clubs across North America to expand the professional calendar, develop new events, and create opportunities for both established professionals and emerging players through the Pro Tour and Challenger Tour.
Our History
Professional hardball squash doubles has a rich tradition spanning more than a century. The Squash Doubles Association was established in 2012 as the successor to the International Squash Doubles Association, providing unified leadership for the men's professional game.
The modern women's professional tour was founded by Narelle Krizek through the Women's Doubles Squash Association (WDSA), which later became the Women's Squash Doubles Association (WSDA). In 2021, the SDA created a single governing body for both the men's and women's professional games.
Since then, the SDA has continued to expand the professional calendar, strengthen governance, increase prize money, modernize the world rankings, enhance live streaming and media coverage, and create new opportunities for players at every level. Today, the organization continues to build on that legacy by working alongside clubs, players, tournament directors, sponsors, and volunteers to ensure a strong and sustainable future for professional hardball squash doubles.
Governance
The SDA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors representing tournament organizers, independent directors, and player representatives. Together, the Board provides strategic direction while ensuring the organization operates with integrity, transparency, and in the best interests of the sport.
The day-to-day operations of the SDA are managed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), who works closely with tournament directors, players, officials, sponsors, volunteers, and the Board of Directors to oversee the operation and continued growth of the professional tour.
Our Partners
The continued success of professional squash doubles is made possible through the support of our tournament hosts, member clubs, commercial partners, and volunteers. The SDA Pro Tour is proud to partner with Harrow Sports, johnnie-O, and Cache_Seven, whose commitment to excellence helps elevate the professional game and support our athletes throughout the season.
The SDA also utilizes Club Locker as the official platform for player rankings, tournament administration, and tour management, helping us deliver a consistent and professional experience for players, clubs, and fans. We work closely with US Squash and other organizations that share our commitment to growing the sport, supporting clubs, and strengthening the future of hardball doubles.
Above all, we thank our tournament directors, host clubs, officials, volunteers, and players. Their passion, professionalism, and dedication are the foundation of the SDA Pro Tour, and together we continue to advance professional hardball squash doubles for future generations.
