The LocalWorld Open presented by Socium Advisors & The Calvert Family brought the SDA women’s season to a close with a $20,000 event at The Jonathan Club in downtown Los Angeles. As the only West Coast ranking event on the calendar, it once again provided a unique and fitting setting for the final chapter of the season. The draw featured a strong mix of established partnerships and emerging talent, with top seeds Georgina Stoker and Lauren West leading the field and second seeds Rachel Mashek and Olivia Walsh continuing their rise as one of the most promising teams on tour. A strong Canadian contingent, with players traveling from Calgary and Vancouver, added further depth and international flavor to the event.
The final between the top two seeds delivered a dramatic and high-quality finish to the season. Mashek and Walsh took control of the match early, edging ahead 2–1 after a decisive run of five unanswered points from 9–9 in the third game. Stoker and West responded with the composure and experience, leveling the match at 2–2 to force a deciding fifth. The final game was tight in the early stages, but momentum shifted as West, who had covered significant ground throughout the match, began to struggle with cramp. Mashek and Walsh capitalized, pulling away to close out the match and secure the title.
With the win, Mashek and Walsh cap off a strong season with a breakthrough performance, while the LocalWorld Open once again proved to be an excellent setting to conclude the women’s tour.
