The Toronto Cricket, Skating, and Curling Club made a strong return to the professional spotlight, hosting the 5K Challenger and the 2024 Canadian Nationals this past April. This marked the first major Squash Doubles Association (SDA) event in Canada in over five years, rekindling excitement in the local squash scene and drawing top players from across the country.
Canadian brothers Jackson and Josh Kay dominated the 5K Challenger, clinching the title in front of a home crowd. The event, sponsored by cache_seven, featured a strong Canadian presence in the draw.
Finalist Carl Baglio showed impressive endurance, competing after running the Toronto Marathon on Sunday, adding a unique twist to a weekend filled with competitive squash and standout performances.
Thanks to Head Pro Robin Clarke and Assistant Pro Nikki Todd for making the event possible.
