The $15,000 Philadelphia Women’s Open, hosted this year by Germantown Cricket Club in its third edition, delivered high-quality, competitive squash right from the start. Alternating annually with the Cynwyd Club, the event saw last year’s finalists face off once more, this time with a new result.

Georgina Stoker and Lauren West, the tournament’s founders and organizers, defeated defending champions and top seeds Kayley Leonard and Maria Elena Ubina in a hard-fought final. Their tactical play and court awareness proved decisive in turning around last year’s outcome.

Canadian pro Danielle Letourneau made her SDA debut, pairing with Nikki Todd. The pair pushed rising stars Rachel Mashek and Olivia Walsh in a close quarter-final, narrowly missing out on a semi-final spot.

Celia Pashley returned to competitive play after a season sidelined by a shoulder injury, while third seeds Katie Tutrone and Line Hansen suffered a semi-final upset against Steph Hewitt and Kelsey Engman. The win marked a successful return to the tour for Engman’s following the birth of her second child.

The Philadelphia Open set the tone for the 2025/26 season, blending experienced champions, returning players, and rising talent. The tour now heads to the Maryland Club Open for the next chapter.
