The Pittsburgh Challenger, a long-standing favorite on the SDA Pro Tour, once again delivered an exciting weekend of squash at the Pittsburgh Golf Club. Organized by Jim Sheils, the $10,000 event is part of the growing cache_seven Challenger Tour, which continues to attract new talent and expand the sport’s professional footprint.

This year’s tournament featured a strong draw, with numerous fresh faces making their mark on the SDA circuit. The event highlighted the impressive growth in the number of professionals competing, signaling a promising future for squash doubles.

The title was claimed by the Canadian duo of Justin Todd and Cole Osborne, who showcased their chemistry and skill throughout the event. Todd, brother of top women’s player Nikki Todd, brought his family’s squash legacy to the fore with a standout performance. In the final, Todd and Osborne defeated Carl Baglio and Tristan Eysele in a competitive match that underscored the depth of talent on display.

Baglio, a Canadian who works at the University Club of New York, and Eysele, a South African and the head pro at the Creek Club on Long Island, brought experience and grit to the court but were unable to overcome the creativity of the Canadian pairing.

The Pittsburgh Challenger continues to serve as a key stop on the SDA calendar, combining a welcoming atmosphere with high-level competition. With its strong draw and a growing roster of professionals, the event reinforces its status as a vital platform for emerging talent and a testament to the expanding reach of the SDA Pro Tour.
