The Cynwyd Challenger, part of the SDA’s Cache Seven Challenger Tour, brought a strong weekend of competitive doubles to the Cynwyd Club in Philadelphia, with a $5,000 men’s draw and a $2,500 women’s event marking an important milestone as the first women’s challenger on tour. The women’s title went to second seeds Madeline Perry and Lujan Palacios, a pairing that blended experience and emerging talent to impressive effect; for Palacios, a recent Trinity graduate, it was a breakthrough moment and her first SDA title, while Perry’s composure and pedigree proved instrumental throughout the draw. On the men’s side, Dave Letourneau and Chris Longman claimed the $5,000 crown, with Longman continuing his strong form in Philadelphia after also capturing the 2025 Philadelphia Challenger title. The weekend stood out not only for its competitive matches, but for the debut of a women’s challenger event on tour.
