After a brief pause in the schedule for the U.S. National Championships, the SDA Pro Tour returned to action with a full weekend of competition at the Hashim Khan Championships presented by Axiom Wealth Management, hosted by the Denver Athletic Club. Featuring a Men’s $30,000 and Women’s $15,000 draw alongside a full slate of amateur singles and doubles divisions, the event once again proved to be one of the largest and most vibrant stops on the calendar, with strong local support and a lively crowd throughout the weekend.

The women’s draw was ultimately dominated by top seeds Georgina Stoker and Nikki Todd, though their path was not without early resistance. A five-game battle against Canadian duo Lindsay Seginson and Megan Picken tested the top seeds in the early rounds, but from that point forward Stoker and Todd found their rhythm, moving through the semi-finals and final without dropping a game. The result further solidifies their position as the team to beat, with the win also lifting Todd to World No. 1.

The standout match of the early rounds came in a thrilling first-round upset, where Lily Taylor and SDA newcomer Lulu Palacios defeated second seeds Katie Tutrone and Jess Davis in a dramatic five-game contest. Tutrone and Davis saved match ball in the fourth to force a decider, but Taylor and Palacios held their nerve to edge the fifth 15–14. The pair nearly followed it with another upset in the semi-finals, taking a 2–1 lead over third seeds Kelsey Engman and Line Hansen before the match was interrupted by a fire alarm between the fourth and fifth games. Upon resumption, Engman and Hansen’s experience proved decisive as they regained control to close out the match.

In the men’s draw, second seeds Daelum Mawji and Charles Culhane captured their first title at this level, continuing a strong run of form that has seen them claim a Challenger title and reach the final of the Sleepy Hollow Open earlier this season. Their performance in Denver marked a significant step forward, as they navigated a competitive field to secure the biggest win of their partnership to date.

The event also showcased a strong showing from Canadian players across the draw. Cole Osborne and his apprentice Griffin Manley impressed in the early rounds, dispatching both the local pairing of Jacques Swanepoel and Preston Quick and third seeds Matt Jenson and Jaymie Haycocks in straight games. They were set for a deep run before a bout of altitude sickness for Manley and the emergence of surprise semi-finalists Greg Crane and Ryan Mullaney, who produced one of the upsets of the tournament in defeating top seeds Josh Hughes and Tor Christoffersen.

Elsewhere, Vancouver pairing Justin Todd and Ryan Picken advanced with a notable win over fourth seeds Andrew Muran and Kush Kumar, setting up a competitive semi-final against Mawji and Culhane.

The final saw Mawji and Culhane take control early, claiming a quick first game before Crane and Mullaney settled into the match. The second game proved a turning point, with the challengers finding their rhythm to push the pace and take the third, but Mawji and Culhane responded decisively, raising the intensity in the fourth as Crane and Mullaney began to fade, closing out the match to secure the title.
